Thursday Instep Update: rethinking this game


Please consider this game on pause. I've tried a couple other game engines, it looks like quite a bit of work, I've made little progress.

Since I've had some time after hitting my main milestone for this project (releasing MVP), I've looked at some other games. One very obvious difference is that other games have a lot more of an art aspect. Given that's what 99.9% of other games offer, it is what users and gamers want. So I am strongly considering rethinking this whole game, that it should place more emphasis on art. Up to now, I've focused on the functional side -- using assets, game play, coding, etc. I produced a 'functional' game that works, but lacking art, story, and feeling, which is the main point.

I have learned my first lesson from this, and will look forward to iterating on it to produce something better in the future that you may enjoy. Any comments or suggestions? Please feel free, all are welcome, it will help me learn, grow, and produce something better for you.
